Great day at Hayling today with about couple of the members front
Brogbrough and a some members from the boards forum.
Arrived about 8am ish to get a good proper breakfast with all the extras,
not that I need the extra balast at the moment still trying to shift the
christmas weight.
Arrived at the beach at about the same time as high tide, no way was I
launching in that !
Tim was the first one to rig and give it a go it was all fine once he got
out it took a couple of attempts though.
The tide dropped a bit more and it was out with the 5.3 and 112 lt
board.
The wind was abit lighter on the inside but there was a wind line a few
hundred meters off shore when it really kicked in proper then further out
rolling swell then some breaking swell after that, we had it all today!
I was very rust when I started not having sail on the sea in such a long
time (7th Oct 2006!)
It started to come back to me and had a great day.
I even had ago on my 89lt board it was really hard work really had to
work to get it up on the plan but once it was there wooohoooo it just felt
so fast - scary fast it was really hard work though had to work all the
time where as my 112lt techno felt like a comfortable armchair
5 star session absolutely fabulous
